Introducing the StabilityMatrix Launcher for Easy 1-Click Installs
Today, I would like to introduce how to easily install ComfyUI and SDXLTurbo with StabilityMatrix, which I introduced previously. If you use the launcher StabilityMatrix, you can easily install such packages with one click.
Also, by default, files such as model data are stored and managed in a shared folder called StableDiffusion, so they can be reused in each package. StabilityMatrix also supports Japanese.
Downloading and Setting Up StabilityMatrix
First, go to the StabilityMatrix page on GitHub. As you scroll down to the bottom of the screen, there is a place to download, so click here. There is an .exe file in the downloaded file, so run it on the storage where you want to store StabilityMatrix. When you do this, a screen like this will appear. Click on Details and click on Run. A welcome screen will be displayed. You would normally decide the data folder here, but I recommend checking Portable mode. In portable mode, all data and settings are saved in the same folder as the application, so move the StabilityMatrix installation folder. This will allow you to quickly respond when you buy a new PC or expand your storage. Once you do that, click the Continue button.
Installing ComfyUI with StabilityMatrix
First, a list of each package will be displayed, so select the application you want to install and click the Install button. Press This time, select ComfyUI. Then click Install. The installation is complete. Select the installed package from the pull-down here, and press the Launch button to start booting. It will take quite a while the first time. In the meantime, I will explain a little about the functions. All files such as checkpoint and LoRA are stored in the Data folder in the installation folder. If you want to use existing files, move them to the target folder or create a symbolic link.
Adding the SDXLTurbo Model to ComfyUI
Let's immediately introduce SDXLTurbo to ComfyUI.
Downloading and Importing the SDXLTurbo Files
Go to Hugging face and download the file from the page where sdxl-turbo is distributed. These are the two large files at the bottom. Please choose the one you like. Once you have downloaded the file, put it in a directory called check points in the ComfyUI installation folder. For StabilityMatrix, it is in the Models folder in Data. If you put it in a folder called StableDiffusion, you can refer to it from ComfyUI.
Importing the SDXLTurbo Workflow
Next, go to ComfyUIexamples and download the workflow for SDXLTurbo. This workflow allows you to easily share the generation procedure. For example, the SDXLTurbo that we will download this time. When you drop the workflow for ComfyUI on the ComfyUI screen, a node will be set up so that you can use SDXLTurbo immediately. For now, please put the downloaded file in a location where you can find it and restart ComfyUI. If you are able, try dropping the workflow from earlier on the ComfyUI screen. We have created a workflow that allows you to try the Preview image using SDXLTurbo.
Testing Out Rapid Image Generation with SDXLTurbo
Configuring Settings for Randomized Fast Generations
Now, let's try out super-fast generation using ComfyUI. Make sure the installed SDXLTurbo file is selected. If the path is different, click here and select the Turbo file you just created. Next, this will be the number of steps. The number of steps will be 1. Therefore, it is set to generate an image in one step. Next, take a look at the sampler custom item, Control After Generate. If this item is set to fixed, the seed value is fixed. Let's set this to randomize. Now we can randomly generate a seed value. I had to know this at first, so I got hooked.
Seeing SDXLTurbo in Action with Continuous Generation
Next, let's click on Queue Prompt in this menu. Click here to generate an image. The first generation is a little slow Yes, I got the generation result referring to the prompt written here. It's a bin fox. Now let's generate continuously. Check the Extra Options. Queue will appear, so check it as well. Click on Queue Prompt in this state to enable continuous automatic generation. It's like Generate Forever in automatic1111. Let's click it now. It's generated at a dizzying speed. Moreover, the image quality is hard to believe that it's a one-step process. I don't think faster is better. If you want to try it, please give it a try.
Wrapping Up and Getting Started with ComfyUI
Today I will explain how to easily install ComfyUI, give a simple explanation of the nodes that appear on the default screen, and quickly install SDXLTurbo to see what it is like. ComfyUI itself looks quite difficult to enter, so I feel like there are many people who don't like it, but let's study together little by little. Well, that's all for today.
